Val, In Tines, Could Be Hairy, Could be Harry

Could be a theme for a horror movie.

Could be a theme for a whorer movie.

A hirsute pursuit for hair pie leads to a forking. Bird nest soup would need a spoon. Hair pi is irrational and would require squaring the circle jerk to make bukakke noodles.

Notice the redirect, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trout_Mask_Replica
That would be “Bake 1”.
This link isn’t showing that it was a redirect from “Hair Pie – Bake 1”

The irrational need disambiguation. Cold Udon might not be what you’re looking for.

Hopefully the tines didn’t go too deep and Val had a good day.

And what about Harry?

The Trouble With Harry is a movie with Shirley MacLaine.

Imaginary Friends And Fantasy Lovers

Initially one might think imaginary friends are good. T.S.Eliot and R.L.Stevenson come to mind. However not all authors are immediately recognized by their initials. My favorite humorist was (or is, depending on whether you consider the subject of this sentence to be the individual, ie past tense, or if the subject is “My favorite” ergo present tense. And getting presence/presents can be tense. Just ask paranormal explorers) J.K.J.. I mean Jerome Klapka Jerome. He wrote “Three Men In A Boat.” It was hilarious, and I would never have discovered it had it not been for the arrogance of Robert Graves. I became enamored of Robert Graves after watching the Masterpiece Theatre version of I, Claudius. Then I read the book. It was even better. I became convinced that it was far better to see dramatic performances before reading the book. The book is ALWAYS better. Therefor seeing the performance after the book is a letdown. Reading the book after viewing is a wonderful expansion. I started reading whatever I could find by Robert Graves. Up until I read The Antigua Stamp. I viewed it as a battle between two evils. One was an exceptionally clever evil person, the other was an idiot. My sympathies went to the idiot. “Bless his heart, he just didn’t know any better.” Well, yes he did. He just wasn’t very good at being evil. Mr Graves mocked JKJ in that story. So I read Three Men In A Boat, to say nothing of the dog. It was written in 1889.

You might ask how that all relates to imaginary friends? A great author becomes like a friend you enjoy listening to. If they are dead that means they must be imaginary. That is, unless you are one of those paranormal explorers.

Unless you go to the Dark Side, there you might only IMAGINE that they are friends. They could be plotting your downfall. Or at least your extreme embarrassment. That could be called the “Drama Club”.

Fantasy Lovers. That is very subjective. As in, what is the subject of that sentence. Is that about people who love fantasies, or is it about people who have fantasies about lovers?

Go ahead and regale me with tales of tail.

Two Score Years Ago I Was Too Sore To Soar Too.

Okay, maybe not quite forty years ago. Big Science came out in 82. But wouldn’t you be sore?

You would expect me to keep a record of the time? Going down on the Captain might lead to other things.

Well I said they were too sore. Too means excessive. Excessive oral sex leads to sensitivity and Beaver Breath.

Too can also mean also. Too!

And two can mean 2. The number two that is. I’m not talking about scat here. Herr stranger I don’t want to hear about scat. What about the score? What, beaver breath isn’t good enough you want to score too? Or were you talking about the musical score? Laurie had an interesting technique on another song from that album.

It’s interesting for me to watch this video now. I bought the vinyl on the recommendation of a friend not long after it came out. I bought the CD after I bought a CD player in 88. I saw this video for the first time just recently. I didn’t realize she signed on it until then. Learn something new all the time. But you would think Superman would have a cape? Where’s the cape?

Okay, this probably does go back forty years, but I just saw it recently. Superheros don’t {necessarily} wear dresses.

I saw a personalized license plate at the gas station one day. It said PYTHAGORAS. I said to the guy getting gas, “You must be either a musician or a mathematician.” He replied, “So must you.” He was a musician. I told him to bake sugar cookies into regular polygons and have the kids use frosting to stack them into dodecahedra. You start with stars and chop off Isosceles triangles. That will leave you with pentagons and unhappy children. They might cheer up when they see how much frosting/chocolate is needed to stick the sides together. Then you tell them that Euclid’s Elements is actually a dessert cookbook.

You do realize that you can’t believe EVERYTHING you read on-line.

Reality? I thought you said Realtor

Neurotics build castles in the sky.

Psychotics move in.

Counselors charge rent.

Psychiatrists cite building codes and condemn.

Dr House becomes your roommate.

It goes downhill from there.

I like Hugh Laurie. I like his character Dr House. I even like Cut-throat Bitch. And Wilson, I like Wilson. Actually I’m rather amiable. I like almost everyone. So what is the point? The point of what? What do you want from me? Isn’t that the story of life? What do you want from me? Affection and acceptance are all I have to offer. Is that enough? Am I being too ambiguous? There is gender ambiguity, is there reality ambiguity? James Burke made a telecourse called “The Day the Universe Changed.” If your version of reality changes, your entire universe changes.

Current political opinions would seem to suggest a multiverse with several entirely different realities.

That could be optimistic or pessimistic. Dr Pangloss would say it is the best of all possible worlds. What say you?

Where The Buff And Low Roam

Yesterday was pi day. e day would have been in Feb. or will be Feb 7 18. It’s called Euler’s number. It’s the squeaky irrational number that the oiler finds {his name is pronounced oiler}. It’s the music of tree stumps, the base of natural log rhythms. Consider the number of wood instruments, it’s not just xylophones. It’s not just strings. There are woodwinds. Oboe there are woodwinds. The wind blows through the trees turning a hoedown into a didgeridoo. Got that? Trees got wood, the wind blows and did ya really do a ho down? I guess that’s where the buff and low check out the Jim, in Rome. But hey, it is an Italicized small e.

Euler is real. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E_%28mathematical_constant%29

If you’re going to the Jim and want to get buff and low, don’t try to skate.

4 into 3? Thanks For All The Fish, FISH FISH FISH FISH FISH

The snow is rapidly disappearing here. The local rivers are free from ice, but some of the ponds and small lakes still have ice. I saw an ice fisherman earlier in the week. Not only risky because of thinning ice it is also a challenge for one’s balance since there was water on top the ice

It’s Pi day! I had forgotten that until I saw my messages. Call me crazy but Pi is irrational.

Not expressible as a ratio, rationality is all about fractions. It’s not about fractures or fractals. It is about how many fifths you need for a party. Will you play quarters? Do you use half&half with a White Russian?
Is that B52 held together with Rusty Nails?

That last one wasn’t a fraction you say. No it wasn’t. Too smart for school makes you a lonely fish with no groupers. I can’t think of any fish drinks. So, why the title then?

Icky the ichthyologist was reading Douglas Adams while watching Red Dwarf.

Four book trilogy followed by the cat at a food dispenser.

And it actually has rained fish but no confidence and paranoia.

Circles Are Irrational

A square peg in a round hole, what’s the problem with that? Sort of the idea of a die, but who wants to die? And there are six sides for every die. I knew a woman that went by Peg once. She was round. Her hips were round. Pythagoras would say, “It’s hip to be square”. He was definitely in squaresville man. A very rational man can handle area with three squares a day. Less rational people might need infinitesimals but they would believe in integration.

IS PEG’S HOLE ROUND? I DON’T KNOW. IS URANUS HOT?

According to this guy in Kentucky the solar system is getting hotter.

BTW, if you want to rationalize a circle you need some pi.

Cetaceans Vs Crustaceans, Prawn Wars for the Krill of it

Not much of a war really, the cetaceans have a whale of a time, and the krill are tiny. A really big one would be…., oh, a Jumbo Shrimp. That’s an oxymoron. I can’t help wondering if idiots aflame would have the same impact. When the lightbulb breaks the filament oxidizes rapidly and the ideas fade to darkness.

It is better to light a single candle than curse the darkness. The final panel of that Peanuts strip was black with Lucy saying, “Stupid Darkness.” Thank You Mr Schultz.

In times of doubt and uncertainty, one should reflect on the absolutes of life.

A Trivial Incivility

Okay, what’s the deal with the 22 cal rimfire cartridges? I have a feeling some of you would tell me it’s a conspiracy. The government is buying up all the ammo. Yeah I’ve heard that before. REALLY? How much ammo can the big companies produce? Ya think the Guvmint is gonna buy it all? I can find plenty of centerfire ammo. The government isn’t buying all of that. Maybe it’s a conspiracy to get people to buy bigger guns. I’m not real big on conspiracy theories. It’s kind of like conspiracies to commit grand crimes. Someone always talks. That’s why grand conspiracies don’t work. But you never know they might be willing to sell you a map to buried pirate treasure. One-Eyed Willie sailed away at the end of Goonies.

Last time I checked you could buy a black powder replica kit without filling out any paperwork. It’s not a firearm until you assemble it. Some people might scoff at a revolver or a pepperbox. You only get one shot with that muzzle loader. Well yeah maybe you only NEED one shot. They worked pretty well in the Civil War. I would consider it incivility to shoot at someone, even with a muzzle loader. Maybe a cordial war would be nicer. Cordials are alcoholic beverages, even if they did shoot they would be less likely to hit their target after a few cordials.

Belle Boyd was not a Hooker. Hookers were the ladies following Gen. Fightin’ Joe Hooker. I had heard of hookers before. Actually Jay Leno used to do a segment with 911 calls. This obviously drunk guy calls 911 and says there are people playing horseshoes in his back yard and they won’t leave. The dispatcher asks him if he knows who they are. “Yes, they’re Hookers.” The dispatcher says she’ll send someone over. A little later the cop calls dispatch. “The guy with people playing horseshoes in his back yard, their last name is Hooker.” Belle Boyd was a Confederate spy. I had heard that she would seduce Union Officers and then get information from them and relay it south. She was captured, jailed, traded for other prisoners, captured again, then released. Now I may have been listening to a conspiracy nut, but I did hear that she spied for the Union to get her freedom the second time. I might be wholly wrong in that. Wiki says I’m wrong. In any case…

I’m not gonna worry about it.

When this song came out in the 80’s they played it TO DEATH. I didn’t think I would ever want to hear it again.

No More Ice Cubes For Me

Are we there Yet? Are we done yet? Ghosts of Mars. Not a fan of rap. I didn’t mind his acting though. And I’m not talking about him anyway.

Nope, It’s definitely going to be tetrahedrons and hemicylinders, and maybe a few rectangular solids. I like ice. I like A LOT of ice in my cold drinks. And I tend to reuse bottles. Regular cubes and trapezoidal solids just don’t fit through the necks of thermos bottles and beverage bottles. These other shapes do. I also have a tray that makes cylinders, but to get them out you have to run hot water on the bottom and sides until it loosens up. And if you put them back in the freezer right away they all stick together. I found some trays at Blains that have the cylinders on their sides so that the other side is open. You get half-cylinders that way, and they’re easy to get out. I also have two trays that produce long rectangles and they’re made of silicon so they’re very flexible. Tetrahedrons are pyramid shaped and quite small. Very convenient except you have to use a ton of them to fill a bottle. I used to fill the bottles a little less than half full then freeze them on their side. It takes a while for those to cool the drink. They last a long time though. Using various sticks I can get the bottle to cool the contents fast and still keep them cold for awhile too.
